Today I’m hosting romantic suspense author D’Ann Lindun. Welcome, D’Ann, and take it away!
I have three releases out with Crimson Romance—Wild Horses, Shot Through the Heart and Desert Heat. The first was Wild Horses, one of the company’s debut books. None of my current releases have any holidays in them. But, my next Crimson book, Cooper’s Redemption, due out in March, does.
Elizabeth Adams has come from Los Angeles to Salt Lick, Colorado, to search for her missing mom. She’s met a mysterious cowboy who has a problem with her family.
This is an uncorrected excerpt:
|Too restless to sleep, she let her mind drift. Christmas was only a few days away. It would it be the best one ever with Mom safely home. They’d never spent Christmas in the snow before. Decorating Henry’s old house might be fun. Maybe they could build a snowman. What was she thinking? Mom wouldn’t want to stay in Salt Lick. She’d be on the first plane back to L.A. as soon as she could buy a ticket. But Elizabeth wasn’t so sure she wanted to leave. In spite of all the bad that had happened, there was something that called out to her to stay. Okay, someone. Cooper. Would they spend Christmas together? More importantly, would they try and build something together? But Cooper hadn’t asked her to stay. No matter what had happened between them, he hadn’t made any promises. And she feared he never would.|
I am giving away one copy of Shot Through the Heart. Happy holidays!
Falling in love with romance novels the summer before sixth grade, D’Ann Lindun never thought about writing one until many years later when she took a how-to class at her local college. She was hooked! She began writing and never looked back. Romance appeals to her because there’s just something so satisfying about writing a book guaranteed to have a happy ending. D’Ann’s particular favorites usually feature cowboys and the women who love them. This is probably because she draws inspiration from the area where she lives, Western Colorado, her husband of twenty-nine years and their daughter. Composites of their small farm, herd of horses, five Australian shepherds, a Queensland heeler, ten ducks and cats of every shape and color often show up in her stories!
